A street lamp with a ringed post

The post, punctuated by several rings, flares out at the bottom onto a moulded base and carries the Baltimore lantern at the top: textured amber-tinted glass panels, a leaf-decorated cap and a finial. The whole piece is made of cast aluminium. The aged bronze patina, hand-finished according to the retailer, takes on coppery highlights on the mouldings.

A lantern set high up, protected from the rain

The E27 lampholder accepts up to 60 W; the bulb must be purchased separately. Placed at this height, the lantern casts an amber light over a wide area around the post. IP44: it withstands rain in the open garden. The light can be adjusted with a dimmer using a dimmable bulb. Class I, so an earth connection is required.

Installing a 239 cm post

The floor lamp weighs 7 kg and is 30 cm in diameter. Allow for a concrete footing or a solid slab for anchoring, and a buried power supply in conduit installed by an electrician. Keep a metre of clearance from the edge of the path so as not to obstruct passage.
