About this light

This outdoor wall lantern light in polished nickel takes the form of a half-lantern fixed flat to the wall, glazed at the front and on its two angled sides. The bright, almost mirror-like metal stands out well against light render, grey stone or brick. At 30.5 cm high with an 8 cm projection, it suits a front door or a French window opening onto the terrace.

Description

Polished nickel finish on a brass base

The same design as the other St Martins lights: a rectangular housing with cut front corners, a double-stepped roof and hollowed slopes. Here, the solid brass body, handmade according to Netlighting, has a polished nickel finish that reflects the light and the surroundings. The clear glass panes reveal the light source, and the metal back panel increases the brightness towards the front.

Rain resistance and choice of bulb

Its IP44 rating protects it from showers and splashes: facade, open porch, garage entrance. E27 cap, 100 W maximum per bulb, to be purchased separately. The supplier states that a dimmer can be used; pair it with a dimmable LED. A clear filament-style LED keeps the look shown in the photo while using little energy.

Compact size and care

It measures 22.5 cm wide and weighs 1.89 kg. Rated Class I, it is connected with an earth conductor. On shiny nickel, fingerprints and limescale show: a soft cloth is enough for cleaning. To frame a double door, fit one on each side, at the same height.
