London black table lamp with curved base and 48.5 cm fabric lampshade

An all-black silhouette

The black lacquered metal base starts from a wide disc, narrows into a neck, then opens out beneath the lampholder, much like a stemmed glass. The slightly flared black fabric drum lampshade extends the curve. The whole piece stands out sharply against a white wall or a pale shelf.

Light upwards and downwards

The black fabric lets very little light through at the sides: the light is concentrated in two beams, towards the ceiling and towards the surface below. It is a graphic mood lamp, less suited to reading than a light-coloured lampshade. E27 lampholder, 60 W maximum, bulb to be purchased separately. IP20 rating: living room, bedroom, office.

On which piece of furniture

Allow for a lampshade 32 cm in diameter and a weight of 1.91 kg. On a narrow console, centre it and leave a free space on either side so that it does not look cramped.
