Opal shell on a chrome stem

The opal glass shade, rounded like a shell, is held by a light-coloured fitting at the end of a gooseneck in gleaming chrome. The straight stem runs down to a flat, round base in black metal, which contrasts with the chrome. The white glass stays bright even when switched off.

Low-wattage E14 bulb

The maximum permitted power is 10 W: an E14 LED bulb is suitable, in warm or neutral white depending on use. The bulb is not included. The switch is on the cable; dimming is not possible. Class II, IP20, for indoor use.

Compact footprint

At 15 cm wide with a projection of 31.5 cm, the Astro takes up little space on a desk or bedside table. It weighs 1.75 kg, enough to stay stable on its base.
