Large Candy pendant light, 50 cm oval white glass globe

Large opal globe

The white glass, smooth and undecorated, forms a flattened oval with rounded edges. At 50 cm in diameter, the globe becomes the main visual feature of the room, even when switched off. The metal fixing is reduced to a small disc at the top, from which the cables hang.

One light source, overall illumination

A single E27 lampholder, limited to 42 W, lights the entire volume of the globe. The bulb is yours to choose, but this model cannot be dimmed: pick a wattage suited to the room. The opal glass diffuses light downwards as well as towards the ceiling. With its IP20 rating, the pendant light is only suitable for rooms free from damp.

Fitting a 4.2 kg light fitting

The globe is 28 cm high and the light fitting weighs 4.2 kg: a solid ceiling fixing is essential. The total height, cable included, ranges from 53 to 228 cm, which leaves plenty of room under a high ceiling or a mezzanine. For scale, allow for a table at least 90 cm wide beneath this globe.
