An oval globe on a satin nickel base

The diffuser is an ovoid shape in white glass, wider than it is tall, with no seam or pattern. It is held by a small round metal base in a satin nickel finish, the only part visible against the ceiling. The structure therefore combines metal and glass, and the whole weighs 2.5 kg.

Diffused light, varying with the bulb

The Candy takes an E27 bulb of up to 42 W, sold separately. Choose a warm white 2700 K LED for a result close to incandescent light. The light fitting works with a dimmer: in that case, choose a bulb marked dimmable. IP20 rating and Class I: it stays in dry rooms, connected to earth.

Ceiling or wall

At 25 cm high, the globe hangs down noticeably less than a pendant light, which makes it usable under a 2.40 m ceiling. It can also be fixed to the wall. On the ceiling, centre it in the room; in a corridor, two or three Candy lights in a row give even lighting.
