About this light

Rigby bar pendant light with an industrial feel: a Buckeye bronze bar carries three flat steel mesh lampshades, rimmed in brass. Its low profile and 101.6 cm length make it ideal for kitchen islands, bars and long tables, where it can hang low over the work surface.

Mesh lampshades and brass details

Two vertical rods support a horizontal tube that bends at each end. Three widely flared conical lampshades hang beneath this tube: their steel mesh filters some of the light and leaves the bulb visible. A brass trim and brass lampholders lift the dark brown Buckeye bronze finish.

Exposed E27 bulbs

Each lampshade takes one E27 bulb of up to 60 W, not included. The manufacturer suggests large round bulbs to emphasise the workshop look: a 2700 K filament globe LED does the job. With three dimmable LEDs, a dimmer can lower the light over the bar. IP20 rating, so dry rooms only.

A low, light pendant

The light fitting itself is only 17.8 cm high and 25.4 cm deep. With the rods, the total height ranges from 40.4 to 101.5 cm: enough to lower it over an island under a standard ceiling. It weighs 3.15 kg. For an island, allow 65 to 75 cm between the worktop and the edge of the lampshades.
