Saxon matt black torch wall light, hammered panel, 1 light E14

Steel torch and hammered panel

The Saxon takes the form of a wall-mounted torch. On the round backplate, a hammered metal panel cut in an hourglass shape serves as the attachment point for the arm. The arm holds an upright torch: a flat cup at the top, a moulded shaft and a tapered point at the bottom. The supplier makes it in steel; the finish is matt black, with no shine.

A flame bulb on a dimmer

The E14 lampholder takes a bulb of up to 60 W, best chosen in a flame shape to keep the candle look; it is not included. Its rounded shape lets the light spread in all directions. The supplier states that it is dimmable, which requires a compatible LED bulb and dimmer. With an IP20 rating, it is suitable for installation in dry rooms.

Size and mounting height

17 cm high, 10 cm wide and 12.5 cm projection: it stands out only slightly from the wall and does not obstruct the way. It weighs 0.61 kg. Position it at about 1.70 m from the floor, or in a row along a staircase. Class I, to be connected to an earthed supply.
