Smarties Bianco 2-light ceiling light, white glass 42.5 cm

Domed disc on a chrome base

The diffuser echoes the round, curved shape of the collection, here at 42.5 cm. The white glass, blown and frosted, is fixed to a round chrome metal support that is barely visible from the side. The rounded edges avoid a flat-plate effect.

Two E27 lampholders

Two E27 bulbs of 42 W maximum each, to be purchased separately. The frosted glass spreads their light across the entire surface of the disc, with no visible hot spot. If used with a dimmer, it requires dimmable bulbs. The IP20 rating rules out damp rooms: reserve it for living areas and bedrooms.

Fixing and placement

Its weight of 2.6 kg calls for fixings suited to the ceiling, whether concrete or plasterboard. Place it in the centre of a bedroom or above a kitchen island. As a wall light, it suits a large landing wall. The connection must include an earth (Class I).
