About this light

This low-profile black surface-mounted spotlight is 6.5 cm deep and 10 cm in diameter. The black Spike is a short cylinder of matt metal, open underneath onto a GX53 bulb supplied with the light. On a white ceiling it forms a crisp dark circle, above a table, a worktop or along a hallway.

Description

A matt black ring

The black metal body is a short, regular cylinder with no ornament. The black interior frames the white diffuser of the lamp, the only light area. This contrast makes the point of light stand out when the spotlight is on.

GX53 bulb and dimming

The Spike uses a GX53 cap, a flat lamp that explains its low height. The bulb is included. It is stated as dimmable: pair it with a suitable dimmer, and a dimmable LED GX53 when replacing the bulb. Its IP20 rating makes it suitable only for rooms without moisture.

Discreet despite the colour

It weighs 0.24 kg. Several black Spike lights arranged in a grid on a kitchen ceiling provide even lighting without visually lowering the ceiling.
