About this light

This 3-light floor lamp in matt black steel, the Orbital, sets three rings in a staggered line, their inner faces covered in gold leaf. Each frames an opal glass globe, and the light reflects off the gold. At 148.5 cm tall, it dresses a corner of a living room or bedroom. It works with three G9 bulbs, sold separately.

Description

Black rings, gold interior

A round black base carries a straight stem in the same finish. Three rings, each 10 cm in diameter, are fixed to it at different heights, alternating left and right. Their outer edge is black and their inner face is covered in gold leaf; at the centre of each circle, a small white opal glass sphere conceals the bulb.

Three G9 caps under opal glass

Each globe takes one G9 bulb, with a stated power of 33 W per lampholder; bulbs are not supplied. The floor lamp is not designed for dimming: choose LED G9 bulbs with a wattage suited to the room. A colour temperature of 2700 K complements the golden reflections of the rings. IP20 rating: living room, bedroom or study, always in a dry place.

A slim silhouette

Just 23 cm wide, the floor lamp fits between a sofa and a wall or beside a bookcase. As the globes are spread across the top of the stem, the light is diffused at several levels rather than from a single point.
