About this light

The clear version of the Whiz, this 2-light chrome candle wall light pairs a transparent backplate and arms with chrome candle-style sleeves. Beneath each drip tray, teardrop crystals reflect the light of the two E14 bulbs. On a white or grey wall its transparency makes it look very light: it suits a hallway, a landing or a bedroom with a classic feel.

Description

Transparency and polished chrome

Here, everything that is black on the other finish becomes colourless. The backplate, cut in relief, lets the wall show through; its chrome centre cover echoes the sleeves. The transparent arms curve upwards to two cut-out drip trays, trimmed with small beads. The candles are sheathed in polished chrome, and the faceted drops hanging below are clear.

Light that plays across the facets

Two E14 lampholders of up to 40 W each, bulbs not included. Clear candle bulbs multiply the reflections in the crystal drops and cut glass, while frosted bulbs give a calmer glow. Its IP20 rating makes it suited to living rooms, bedrooms and hallways, away from any damp area.

Dimensions and positioning

It measures 30 cm wide by 36 cm high. A pair of chrome Whiz lights frames a mantel mirror or a headboard nicely; leave at least one light's width between each and the frame, and aim for a height of 1.60 to 1.80 m.
