An antique mirror disc behind the bulb
The round backplate is made of bronze-finish steel. Its front face is lined with antique mirror glass, cut into panels radiating from the centre, with the foxed look of old mirrors. In the middle, a bronze knob holds a curved arm that drops down and then rises in a crook shape to carry the lampholder, which faces upwards. The bulb is left bare: it is the bulb, with its reflection, that creates the decor.
A bulb to choose with care
The E27 lampholder accepts up to 60 W; the bulb is not included. As it remains visible, choose a pear- or globe-shaped LED filament bulb, in 2200 to 2700 K for an amber glow. The wall light works with a dimmer if the bulb is itself dimmable. With an IP20 rating, it is intended for dry rooms only: living room, bedroom, entrance hall.
Installation and dimensions
The disc measures 19.7 cm in diameter for a total height of 24.8 cm; with its arm, the wall light projects 15.3 cm and weighs 1.35 kg. A Class I luminaire, it must be connected to an earthed circuit. In a hallway, fit it at about 1.70 m from the floor; as a pair, on either side of a bed or a console table.
