Kingsley wall light in silver leaf with ivory pleated lampshade

Silver leaf, scrolls and pleated fabric

The vertical backplate, covered in moulded relief details, ends in a scroll at the top and bottom. The arm springs from its base in a large spiral, then rises to a chiselled drip pan that holds the lampholder. The whole structure is finished in silver leaf with an aged, patinated sheen. The ivory lampshade, made of fabric pleated on the bias, is topped with a small finial.

A soft halo around the lampshade

Open at the top and bottom, the lampshade sends light towards the ceiling and the floor, while the fabric lights the wall with a pale veil. The E27 lampholder takes up to 75 W; the bulb is not included, and an E27 LED in 2700 K is enough for ambient lighting. Its IP20 rating means it is suitable for dry rooms only.

Dimensions and fixing

It measures 22.9 cm wide and projects 30.5 cm: keep it away from a narrow passage. Weighing 4.4 kg, it needs wall plugs suited to the surface, whether plasterboard or masonry. Hang it at about 1.60 to 1.70 m from the floor, either side of a fireplace or a large mirror, or pair it with other lights from the Kingsley range.
